Nissan surveyed 1000 car owners and non-owners in the U.S. between the ages of 18 and 65 :
Choice of younger generations: 86% of those 18-34 years old (Generation Z and younger millennials) who don’t own a sedan would consider buying one now or in the future. The same is true for 81% of older millennials and Generation X’ers (age 35-50).
Satisfied owners: U.S. sedan owners are just as satisfied with their cars (89%) as non-sedan owners (88%).
Function with four doors: SUVs and trucks don’t have a monopoly on being seen as functional. 95% of sedan owners listed functionality as the No. 1 thing they love about their car, versus 94% for non-sedan owner
Too bad Nissan makes many terribly boring ones

Nissan really needs to sell the Micra in the US so that more people can afford a brand new car

When will Generation X start getting blamed? I can’t wait.

My prediction is that once GenX gets as old as the boomers are today , the millenn ials will just end up putting them down as a cost saving measure rather than paying for their healthcare .
Thus, GenX will avoid being blamed for destroying society, while the millennials will be blamed twice.

They have an optional turbo 4 and awd... but they're all CVTs so that kind of sucks.

When they actually turn off the damn MTV, put down the skateboard , and accept some responsibility for once, that’s when.

“Would consider” probably means “if its a lot cheaper than the crossover I really want, but can’t get financed for” or “if gas prices spike up again, and a 40mpg compact sedan starts looking a lot better than a 25mpg compact SUV”.
If only EssExTee could be so grossly incandescent

I was gonna say, that’s not a great example of a desireable sedan.

I believe Gen X is the only responsible generation. All of them would drive manual transmissions if they were available. Where did I put my Van Halen albums ....

Back when the Altima came out, I saw an article on Autoblog or something that said Nissan is hoping sedans will appeal to younger drivers because their parents drove crossovers. This is like minivans for older millennials
and Gen X; parents drove them, so they don’t like them.
